So I'm thinking of experimenting with the Google TV UI on my Hisense H9G. I have the APKs for The Launcher and Google search app downloaded on my computer but I am kinda confused. Because the version of Android TV on here has a settings menu already in the Home Screen, And I switch to the Google TV UI ,does this APK detect if it's a an actual TV or Set top box (Nvidia Shield,Xaomi TV) and keep the Settings Menu and Built-in Google Assistant features??
I found when experimenting with the Google TV interface. APK although it may work and maybe buggy . At least on the devices I tried,. The ADB logs were just filling with tons of errors... To the point where it was probably affecting performance.
