How to create shortcut to "audio out" menu? (shell/intent/Button Mapper)

by CorinneDuyvis

Occasionally our TV and audio receiver don't play nice and we need to manually change the settings in the "audio out" menu. It's getting cumbersome to navigate the menus and I'd like to create a shortcut to the "audio out" menu.

I have the (pro) Button Mapper app and the tvQuickActions app and it seems like it should be doable using one of those, like using a shell command or intent, but Googling for instructions has proven fruitless.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you!

I don't know about the OS side, but have you considered looking into those fancy remotes that support multiple devices?

I think (don't quote me I never really looked into them) I recall some of them supporting key press macros - maybe that could be used. Be warned though - I never really looked at them because the brief looks I did give them pushed me away based on how expensive they are. I think a good example might be the old Logitech Harmony remotes if they still make them.
