Noob question about finding free content on AndroidTV

by Justicar7

I just purchased a Walmart Onn device this weekend for a non-Smart TV in a guest room, and so far its been great. One of the reasons I chose the Onn box over a Fire Stick was because of Amazon's cluttered menus with all of their app tiles and Amazon ads.

But I did like that Amazon has a nice big "Free" app tile displayed that takes you right to free content. I believe Roku has a fairly prominent menu choice for featured free stuff as well.

Is there anything similar with the Android menu? I'm not seeing an obvious or prominent "Free Stuff" menu choice on the screen. I can go right to the Tubi or Pluto apps for their free content, but is there a catch-all "Free Stuff" menu item on the main Android screen that I'm overlooking?

If you open the Play Store there's a list titled "Free Movies and TV."

You need apps that supply free stuff. Google doesn't have their own free content service so you need FreeVee, Tubi TV, luto TV, Plex, Crackle, and there are probably a few others, installed on your device to get that stuff. Then if they have Android TV channels associated with their apps those will populate your home screen with recommendations.

You need to install a debrid client
