Friend kid lost my remote. Need some advice.

by ELiero

Hi

I have a Mi Box S and my friend was over here some days ago and his kid played with the remote and now it is lost. I have google for ways to find it again and found about the Wunderfind and Lightblue apps. It is apps that can pick up bluetooth signal. I have tried both of those but I can't find any signal of the remote. I can't either find a signal from my other bluetooth remotes. So was just wondering if anyone have ever tried those apps? If so how can I make them show my remotes?

He probably took it home.

Nicest feature of the Shield remote is the "find my remote". Sorry you lost yours, maybe just give up and grab a replacement online for a few bucks. Also. Check your subwoofer port, my son and nephews always pack ratted stuff in there. Or shoes.

I havent used my old Mi Box's in a few years, but even then I bought G20S remotes on eBay and replaced the original (minimal) ones. I recommend you do the same.

If it's Android TV why can't you use Google home app on an android phone to operate it(has a remote feature)

Is the TV still connected with the remote? If so, you know that can't be so far from it.

XMRM-006 is the part number for the remote should you want to purchase a replacement.

Use Google home app for remote on phone to pair any Bluetooth remote you might have

Next time, stick a tile in the remote.
