Just enabled CEC control so the Chromecast can turn the TV on and off, because IR was getting annoying. But it only works for turning off. When the TV is off and i press the power button on the CC remote, nothing happens, same for input or any of the buttons.
Is this normal or should the CC be able to turn the TV on as well as off via CEC?
Sometimes there can be issues with CEC. Try to unplug everything (TV and chromecast) for few minutes and plug it back so that it could reinit CEC.
Otherwise if it is still not working, I believe you can configure IR to turn TV on only and let CEC turn it off.
Not ideal, but that could do the trick.
