Not getting all the bandwidth to my TV

by ByAnyMeansLA24

So my TV is connected to LAN but only getting 30-50 out of 300 Mbps. It also gets the same bandwidth through WiFi.

I wanna mention that out of all devices connected to LAN the TV is the only one not getting all the 300 Mbps. Does anyone know what might be the reason?

Some tvs only have 10/100 ethernet, specially old ones, my tv is 3 years old and only gets about 80 mb per second but with my Android tv box (meecool km2) I get 300 mb per second download. Try with a similar device and check your speeds

TVs in general don't need anything above 50Mbps for their intended use cases (streaming), so the manufactures save the 50cents or so and go with low speed phys.

If you are trying to download files, better to use an external wired gigabit adapter assuming the TV has a USB 3.0 port.
