Hisense android TV - The UI changed and then changed back

Up until about last week, the UI was the same way. Search, home, discover and apps at the top, highlighted stuff under that and favorite apps, etc.

Then one day it changed and seemed much snappier with the app icon to the left (i.e. Netflix, YouTube) and the content on the right side.

Then today i just noticed that it has switched back to the older UI.

I'm extremely confused about what happened.

Was there an accidental push of a revamped android TV that got recalled?

Am i a part of some kind of Beta program without realizing it?

I checked the system update and it says i am at the most current.

You were, and am again using the newest Android TV Discover UI and got temporarily changed back to the old Android TV UI which still lives inside the firmware of the device/TV. The UI is controlled by Google and not he device/TV OEM.

The new Android TV homescreen is a region update if you used a vpn it would of updated it to the new one but once you turn off the vpn it would then go back to the old homescreen. If it doesn't go back the most likely Google hasn't updated the homescreen to your region yet.
