TCL QLED C715 still a good option?

by jfmr9012

Hi guys!!

I am from Costa Rica and want to change my JVC 4k tv very disappointed in general with image quality and the system performance...

Here in my country the options are very short and you don't have many brands however in past year I saw in Walmart and other places tvs from TCL, Motorola and Xiaomi.

The best cheap QLED is the C715 55" version around $710, I think this model is from 2020, but you think is a option for the price?

Someone have this model?

Any advice will be helpful.

Thanks.

I have the 55" version and am quite happy with it. Only thing that's bugging me is that it is unable to play 4k H265 Media via Plex without lagging and buffering to the point that I just use my PC for that. I paid about 490€ for it in Germany.

I know Hisense have made some cheap oled TVs, is it available there? Otherwise you can look at Philips or LG. I have invested in LG C1 55". It is expensive for sure, but very good and future proofed. I would recommend it if you can afford it.

I believe the C825 or C725 are better options if available. But the C715 is already a good one. I don't have it so I can't tell whether the android TV is fluid and how the processor is though.
