Ditto .. Shields a nightmare using USB . .A SSD is more suited .. Ive tried a USB 3 and USB3 64GB SSD..4 X faster and no bottlenecks when scanning. 😁👍

When you say you've tried, what have you tried exactly?
Have you plugged into a PC? - If so, did you get any errors?
Probably currupt, just pop it into a PC and format
