Looks promising for the Onn 4K box, will try it out later to at least remap my youtube button to SmartTubeNext
I've been struggling with this for awhile. I need to remap some remote buttons to send keyboard letters. All of these solutions I see just trigger a different app instead of sending just a letter.
Be able to adjust volume
Will this work with 'vendor' buttons on my remote?
I have an Amazon button I'd like to remap to Plex

Just got a Hisense tv with android tv and the remote sucks. I get faster more reliable results using a programmed Side click unit. Buttons for 4 directions on dpad, select, home,back and fav button which opens tv turner. But something with a real dpad would be better.

Do you know if this app map buttons by scancodes instead of keycodes?
Curious if I could use this on my Sony Bravia to map apps to the colored keys... And also if I care enough to bother.
