I know other people have had this problem before but i just can't seem to be able to fix it on my TV. I tried factory reset, I tried router reset, I tried the date & time sync, none of these worked. What else can I do?

This solved the same issue for me.
Make sure you know the WiFi password, choose ignore, connect again to that WiFi, enter the password. If this method didn’t worked, set automatically choose time.
Check for update to router firmware and check for an update to your androidtv device
Define “connected”. Do you get an IP, DNS, gateway?
