Onn 4k tv box - Wi-Fi connection problem

Hi everyone,

I just bought onn tv box. I have problems with wi-fi connection. When I connected wi-fi, then it's automatically disconnects after 5-10 minutes and shows connected no internet, or limited internet. This problem happens when I turn off device and then when I open it too. What's is the problem? My router is TP-Link TL-WR840N V2.0. It only supports 2.4ghz connection. Is that device's problem or my old router which is not supports 5ghz?

Have you updated the firmware to the latest version? If so then it might be time for a new router

The onn's wifi, both 2.4 and 5ghz are widely considered good.  Mine runs solid on 2.4.  You may have dud try exchanging it for a new one.

I assume you mean onn from walmart .... I bought one last week and my first intro into android tv and it does the same thing from time to time. The last firmware update was suppose to fix it but it still does it but not too often.
