It's been a few months since I've seen anything about this, anyone know if there's plans to roll out Android 12 to TV's and/or CCwGTV? I'm excited to see the update but there's no new articles on it since December that I can find.

I was about to say... glad I own a Shield n Sony TV... but even w/12 nobody's missing much. specially given the fact that Shield's rollout of 11 has been met w/a bunch of issues. feel like if they can't even get 11 working right a 100% then why rush 12... I'd rather they take their time
I doubt it will be anytime soon. On the TV side, TV OEM's are even lazier than smartphone OEM's (not named Google or Samsung) at pushing out software updates.
On the streaming device side, Nvidia may not even make the jump to 12 since they just pushed out 11 at the start of the year. They are still working to fix all of the breakage that occurred as a result of the jump. If/when they do another Android version jump, it might more realistically be 13.
With the CCwGTV, I suspect the onboard storage might be an issue if they try and do a major system update. Even after the most recent update which attempted to put a band aid on the storage issue, most folks are probably rolling with 1GB or less of storage available to them if they have installed most of the top apps.
I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Google never pushes out a major update to the CCwGTV in it's current iteration. I'm sure a new CCwGTV could arrive as soon as this year (setting aside the rumored "budget" version), that might come with Android 12, but only time will tell.
As others have said, Google isn't even bothering to push out Android security patches on the regular for CCwGTV, so I don't know how motivated they are to push out a new Android version.
It's up to the manufacturer to make it compatible with their TVs. They have to make sure everything works (drivers, panel calibration, media decoding, etc). Just like android phones this can take a long while to do especially if they have a lot of different TV models that vary in different specs.
You would've thought Google would be one of the first to update the CCwGTV but god knows what's holding them back.
It's almost ready.
Not gonna happen in atleast a year or so. Sony just bareky updated their tv’s to android TV 10. Nvidia shield just got Android TV 11 couple of months ago and that has been complete disaster.
