Hi I have a Hisense Roku TV (55R7E model).. everything is fine and the remote setup connected to the TV and works fine.
However, when I press power on the remote, it ONLY turns off the TV, and it doesn’t power off the Onn device. On my other Onn hooked up to an older LG TV, I believe it works as it should, Eg you press the power button and the Onn goes red/sleep/off (whatever it does when it goes red), AND the LG TV powers off via CEC.
But for some reason with the Hisense Roku TV, it only powers off the TV and the Onn device stays on (white light stays on). Seems like CEC isn’t working correctly, somehow?
Anyone else have or had this issue or solved it ? Thanks!
I think that is how it's designed; the onn box stays on, all the time, and the power button turns off and on the tv only. If you hold the power button for 3 seconds, it will give you the option to restart the onn box. You could try using one of the TVs usb's to power the onn box, but in my experience, it will likely NOT be powerful enough.
