Hi,
Does someone knows an alternative launcher on Google TV that doesn't constantly try to shove Disney+,Tubi ,etc down my throat?
I tried the "Application only mode" but it still shows content i don't give a s%^&t about.

Your device will feel much faster also. https://www.techdoctoruk.com/launcher-manager-for-android-tv-fireos-6/
probably ATV launcher
I did this recently and haven't looked back. I set up a launcher called "sideload channel launcher 3" , the 3 (or iii) is important.
To get it to properly replace the default interface, I had to use this app from thetechdoctoruk's site called: Final_TDUK_CCGTV_LM.apk Basically a launcher manager, I don't remember where exactly on his site i got it, but as you can see he has a version specific to the Chromecast.
Did you get surprise updated to a new launcher with that top banner of irrelevant content?
I was able to uninstall the update and go back to the old launcher on my tv.
My solution may not be applicable to all situations.
you can disable disney plus in settings
FLauncher is awesome. I've been using it about 4 months now. It's very Zen. No annoying animations or in-your-face graphics -- and there are zero ads. Your homepage will just show your apps over a custom wallpaper or, if you're like me, you'll use a plain background -- mine's a peaceful gray. It's very well designed, easy to configure and has lots of options. You can arrange your app icons in a grid and can select the number of columns you want in the grid -- you can also group your apps and label the groups.
There are two ways to use FLauncher: 1) You can use Button Mapper to set your remote's Home button to launch FLauncher (super easy to set up) or 2) if you want a more seamless experience and you're comfortable with using ADB, you can replace the Google TV launcher with FLauncher. I used method 1 for a few weeks and liked FLauncher so much I took the plunge and implemented method 2.
One thing I really like about FLauncher is that it's actively maintained and the developer really tunes in to user suggestions. Here's his GitLab page: https://gitlab.com/etienn01/flauncher . If you scroll down on that page, you'll see his description of methods 1 and 2 above. You can also look at the Issues page where users make suggestions.
I was new to ADB so it took me awhile to figure it all out, but once I did, the replacement of Google TV's launcher went smoothly. I really expected I'd find there was some "gotcha" after making the switch, but there hasn't been any. No problems at all.
Based on my experience, I wrote up a procedure on how to use ADB, tailored to Google TV users: https://www.reddit.com/r/Chromecast/comments/s96moi/how_to_connect_to_ccwgtv_via_adb_using_only_wifi/
Tips: If you replace the Google TV Launcher with FLauncher, be sure to add the Google Play Store App -- that way, you can add apps from within FLauncher. You can also access the Google TV settings from within FLauncher -- just go to FLauncher's settings and you'll see "Android TV Settings."
P.S. I haven't seen the Google TV Home page in months and I don't miss it a bit.
