Anyone here know if it’s possible to control my nest thermostat via the Nest app available on the Play Store? Or are there any other TV apps that support smart thermostat control?

My thermostat is a Honeywell, and it lets me connect to my Alexa or Google Assistant. I can do the control from the little pod with my voice. So, I say "Alexa, lower temperature to 74" or "turn thermostat off" or "change to Heat" and a whole slew of possible voice commands, as far as scheduling a certain date and time for the thermostat to change temperature.
Yes, there is an app on my phone I can use and the Alexa app also lets me make changes, but it is so much easier just to say the command in any room where an Alexa device is located.
If you still haven't migrated your Nest account to Google, and you have an Android TV, there is (or at least was) a Nest app for Android TV.
I can control using assistant, no app needed.
I would think that any smart thermostat can be controlled by Google or Alexa. You don't need a app, just add it to Google home (I don't have Alexa), and you can control it from any device that talks to Google. If you have a Google Nest, use your voice to control your thermostat. Even smart devices have that capabilities.
