TCL 4-Series Google Tv muffled audio issues?

I recently purchased a 4-series TCL google tv and have been having problems with muffled/cloudy sounding audio. I have had to either unplug the tv or reset from the setting in order for the sound to come out clearly. I exchanged the first one I had thinking it was just a problem with the tv itself but the new one has the same exact issue as the first so i’m thinking it has to an issue with the software itself and some sort of bug. There aren’t any available updates so I can’t find a fix there, has anybody had similar issues and been able to find a fix for it? Or should I just return it and get a different kind of tv?

Side note: this happens for every single application and output

I'm having the exact same issue, and when I unplug the tv then plug it back in, it fixes the issue. But every time I turn it off the issue comes back

I have the same issue just bought the tv and called tcl. They said to send a video so well see what happens

Literally dealing with the same issue its pretty annoying, i might just buy a soundbar at this point

Old post, but has anyone found a fix? I have the same issues, but I found a temp fix. If you go into power settings, you can set your tv to fully turn off instead of stand by. So far, every time I turn off the tv, the sound stays normal when turned back on. Hoping a software fix will allow me to go back to standby.
