Question about google tv

by Niglard1020

I do not have an Ethernet adapter for my google tv but my actual tv has an Ethernet port. Would hardlining my tv help with google tv connection or do I absolutely need the adapter with the Ethernet plug? I appreciate any help.

No it wouldn't help it would only give the tv itself a wired connection.

By "GoogleTV" do you mean the "Chromecast with Google TV"?

If so, the connection from that to your TV is just HDMI. Nothing but audio and video there.

Need the adapter. They sell ethernet only ones on Amazon for like $12.

If your TV has Google TV, as the stock OS, you can just plug your ethernet cable into the TV ethernet port. If you're using a 3rd party device, different story
