Hello All,
I have Mi Box S and it does not have a menu key (three horizontal lines or a 'burger' looking key) on the remote.
Any idea how to get around that ? I am using a custom launcher and I need to add my apps to Favourite. On Amazon stick it is possible. Can it be done on devices that does not have that 'Menu' key ?

This helps you zero, but you just reminded me how fucking annoying it is that we don't seem to have a universal name for this icon. Menu. Thing. Or how it isn't universally used for its purpose. Maybe sometimes it's 3 dots.
There's no "menu key" on Mi Box remotes.
If I'm not mistaken, you're talking about the "app row" button (a square made of 9 smaller squares)
Can you share an image of the remote?
Long press did not help. Attached a wired USB keyboard to do what I needed :) - CNTL+ESC
works as a workaround. Thank you to everyone who responded.
With the mibox it's usually a long press (hold down) on the select button that usually pops up menu items.
