My mecool km9 box has no sound when using the HBO max app, all other apps do have sound eg: netflix and prime.
I have tried changing sound settings, logging out and in, reinstalling HBO but no joy.

Is that the KM9 or the KM9 Pro?
I'm having the same issue on my Globo Smarty TV.

Try turning off surrounding sound
