Use a different launcher, or go "Apps Only" mode - with your own configuration
Change Launcher?
If you mean from the favorites section. Go to the app drawer and long press the app. Move it below the line. Apps can't totally be hidden from the UI though.
You can't hide apps with the stock google tv launcher.
If you change your mind I would should suggest you the flauncher
