Is there no way to turn off 60fps for Disney+ on Google TV? It's driving me crazy.

I got a TCL 6-series TV in the fall, which has Google TV built in. I use the built in apps, including Disney+. For Disney+, and only Disney+ as far as I can tell, the picture settings are locked at different forms of "Dolby Vision", which all seem to use picture smoothing and 60fps. It doesn't state that (it doesn't state anything about what the setting means), but that's how it looks, and I think it looks like crap. I hate the soap-opera effect, and there's a very bad ghosting-type thing that happens with fast movement.

I can't find any Disney+ or TV settings menu that lets me change this. Is there anything I'm missing, or am I stuck with this forever?

Had similar issue with OnePlus TVs initially where Dolby Vision picture settings were not allowed to be changed. It was told that the settings are tuned by Dolby team during licensing and not to be tweaked around so as to get the best video output. Eventually after a lot of requests from users, the option to change motion smoothing (MEMC) was provided by OnePlus. So I think it's the same situation with TCL TV. Just a guess. May be a fellow TCL TV user could provide the right reason.

You cant change judder and smoothening settings on dolby vision iq preset. On dolby vision bright/dark you can change it and enable/disable soe

Isn't there an option to turn off motion smoothing in TV settings?

I found a little workaround, although a tad annoying, on the Series X - when watching on the R646. It's more of a platform situation, as opposed to a hardware limitation
