Hi, I want to buy a new TV Box for my old 1080P TV and I want to ask your advice.

I would use it mostly for watching HBO Max and Disney+ which will come to my country (Hungary) soon. I also have a 120GB external HDD for watching other movies and would use the box via 5Ghz wi-fi. But most importantly, I want to use/control it via my PC, while my family would watch it on the TV at the same time. (I'm disabled and can't use the remote control.)

Which device would you recommend for me (which I can probably buy from Hungary)?

FYI, you can control an android box from PC via TeamViewer (setting it up will be a hassle), but you won't see DRM content that way. Standard recommendation is Nvidia Shield Pro, if you can afford it. If not, I would go for something like mecool KM6, or any other google certified box with Amlogic 905x4 SoC. You may want to consider adding a Google Home/Mini device for hands free voice control.

Kodi media player for a long time, has had a Web Based Remote Control. Lets you browse content, start, play pause, all from a web browser (PC, Tablet, or Phone). Will you be able to control apps like HBO Max or Disney+? No.
