Google TV with chromecast having major glitches. Tried changing ports, restarting, and turning on and off tv. Nothing fixes! Nothing wrong with TV itself or hdmi ports either as anything else plugged in works perfect.

It's dead. Warranty it.

You've unlocked the secret 8 bit nintendo theme

I know you said you tried turning it off and on again but pull the power cord out for a bit and put it in, if you haven't done that already.

This has happened to mine quite a few times, but a reboot has always fixed it.

Happen to me a few times, and all I did was change the hdmi port to another port then unplug everything and turn back on. Worked for me.

gime_time

Had this same issue. Replaced the cord and power brick and that fixed it.

Same thing happened yesterday very strange

foundfootagefan

Is it being powered from the wall adapter or the USB port on your TV? Do a factory reset and give it another try or just exchange it for another one.

knbg93

Same thing has happened several times with my Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019, but a reboot was usually sufficient to fix it.

Had something like this with a roku ultra once.

Turned out one of the drm pins for 4k went. The solution was to downgrade the quality to 1080p so the handshake was no longer needed.

This might not be your issue. Either way you should ask for a replacement.

This happens to me all the time. I just turn off the tv and it's gone 💀

KawhiLeonardsThigh

It's HDMI CEC issues. I had to switch the Chromecast remote to only turn on and off my tv through ir and not CEC. It's silly I know, I'm assuming it's incompatibility with certain models of TV's. Let me know if my suggestion works! Also as an aside, my tv still turns on my other devices even when using ir so you shouldn't really have any problems switching to it.

UPDATE: I seem to have been able to resolve the issue by turning off the power saver. It was set to 30 mins and I changed it to never. I guess it has something to do with the sleep function not playing well with the tv. I'm assuming newer tv models don't have this issue.

That looks like the HDMI interface is acting up. It can happen sometimes if either it is going through an HDMI hub - or if there is an extension cable joiner. But it could be some thing else.

tonman101

That looks like a HMDI cable problem, check if the connection is tight, or try another cable.

Gullible_Painting_54

I had similar issue with one of mine. I unplugged the power and disconnected it from the tv, rebooted the tv, then after 1 minute, plugged GTV back in and it's been fine since.

criticalovrload

Similar thing happened to me when I was messing with the color settings. I switched it back to auto and it resolved the issue.

mglatfelterjr

Could be the cable, I was having similar problems and replaced my HDMI cables, don't be tempted to buy the cheapest ones, they fail because of bandwidth.

Prox_Arrow47

obv that means something is wrong with Chromecast, u might already know that.. try to lightly hit the part on the chromecast where it connects, or the only options left is to give it for repair to buy a new one :(

AlXBG

Wow... Never seen that before

JustLG13

What tv is that?
