I was just wondering if it was possible to set up custom IR signals to be sent from the CCwGTV remote control. I've lost the original remote for my TV and it would be handy to be able to bring up the TV's settings menu to change things like backlight.
It doesn't help you after you lose the remote, but we bought sideclicks for each (3) of you ccwgtv. They give programmable buttons on the side, and allowed us to get rid of different remotes at each tv. We have a soundbar in our living room that I have never found a code to control it, we luckily had a learning remote before we lost the original, tiny remote.
The CCwGTV remote both is and isn't very versatile. On one hand, through the Chromecast settings you can configure the volume/mute buttons to work on one device, the power button on another, and the input button on a third. However, that's about it, you can't manually teach the remote anything. You should be able to just order a replacement remote for your TV, what model is it?
