Turn on TV on cast to Mi TV stick 4K?

With Chromecast I could cast anything to it while the tv was turned off.
Chromecast would turn the TV on and start playing.

Is this possible with the Mi TV stick 4K?

It certainly works on the Shield, so I can't see a reason why it wouldn't work on the mi stick 4k

Are you pleased with the new Xiaomi stick so far, have you experienced any other problems? Do you have a Chromecast with Google TV and could you compare. I thinking of buying the Google TV or Xiaomi TV Stick 4...
