There was a thread the other day about people buying these out and scalping them. Walmart has restocked them again (as they do weekly for the most part). So if you are looking for what is easily the best value for a 4K Android TV box with a good remote, you can purchase them again.
Absolutely love these little boxes. The lack of an ethernet port kinda sucks but otherwise they are top notch. My walmart has had a ton of them in stock for ages. Picked up 3 for my house and an additional 4 for family members and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one purchasing them lol

How to they compare to the latest Google ChromeCast with GoogleTV?
I put a note on here about the crappy picture quality I got and took it back. Thanks to a few users that pointed out I could have changed a setting. I went and got another one, fixed the issue and now it works perfectly. Thanks again for the advice. It runs circles around the Tivo Stream 4k, considering it actually works and doesn't mess up constantly so far.
Is it any better than the Tivo Stream 4k? I bought one because I needed another device that could do Moonlight/Steam Link streaming, and a few other things - and because I'm happy to see another ATV manufacturer out there - but it kind of sucks (would rather just pay the extra $10 for CCwGTV).
So far it's been unstable for me (seems to restart on its own a lot. At first I thought it was just a weird initial setup thing, but it's persisted after, especially if I have a hub plugged in for a controller I have). It has weird glitches, like the startup Tivo logos screen blinking regularly. It refuses to update the OS. Being Micro-USB powered in this day and age seems weird to me. Etc. Oh, and I guess I was expecting one of the old chunky Tivo remotes (I like big remotes), but it's a little tiny cheap thing.
Without those issues it'd be pretty decent. A little slower than the CCwGTV but it's fine.
These dont have usb ports?
I had nothing but luck with mine... Mine keeps just shutting off randomly, like it's overheating but I keep it next to the tv where there's good airflow so idk, maybe I got q bad one, but it did put me off of them even at this price
Onn box is good. I bought one. You should choose the Right Processor;Check the Storage Option;Look for Available USB ports;Check for the Video and Display and An HDMI 2.0 is a requirement for 4K streaming. Check the Options for Network Connectivity. Determine Bluetooth Support. Check for Google Play Support. And read the product guide. The important thing is I also bought a dynalink TV box and used it in my bedroom.
Tips: Install a web browser. I prefer JioPages because of it's Silk-like cursor and good ad blocking. Install TVAppRepo to make shortcuts to web sites like the Roku Channel. Install SmartTubeNext for ad-free YT. The IR blaster is a bit weak so you might want to use the internal volume control (great for my projector). Install Send Files to TV to install apps. Try out the remote on your phone contained in the Google app. Customize your home page with your favorite streaming apps (can't do that with Firestick).
How do you link a controller to play games?

With the past 3 years bring full of drama, it's actually amazing to see a price go down inatead of up.
I actually have a few Fire TV Stick Gen 2 and Stick Lite but I got myself an Onn 4K Box to counter some of the Fire TV Stick downfalls.
For one, the Fires make it way too difficult to stream from a phone. I got AirPin Pro for $2 but it's still sloppy from iOS and Android.
Also the Amazon Marketplace is so slim compared to the Google Play Store. I like the free content on RedBox but it won't sideload as first no Google Play Services then even if you fix that, it wants Google Maps. Vudu won't show any free content on a Fire Stick unless you sideload the phone version and use MouseToggle or a physical mouse. I tried the Fire & Android TV versions of VuDu.
I know that I can put Google Services on to a Fire Stick but the space us so slim as it is, it's way too annoying. I like how the Onn had both Redbox & VuDu Free within a minute or so.
I must admit, for Wifi (5GHz), it performs pretty amazing. My Fires always seem to "buffer" with Kodi on Wifi when playing local HD files but strangely the Onn seems to rewind/FF way faster. I fixed my main Fire TV Stick Lite with an Ethernet Adapter but the Onn doesn't even seem like it needs it.
Is it possible to use the included remote to control IR devices? I have a
very similar unit produced by the same manufacturer, but I can't program IR
keys on the remote. When I go to Remotes & Accessories menu, there
is no program your buttons option?
How is casting with this? Is it as shit as casting with Chromecast with Google TV is?
Blech, WalMart adds a $6 fee for online orders under $35.
Bought one to try out. had it plugged in for 10 minutes. Watched how crappy the "4k picture" was, boxed it up and took it right back. How can other streamer boxes get it so right and this one so badly?! The colors were all washed out, it was just horrible! Would not recommend to anyone. Even the $20 Firestick outperformed this one!
My Shield will run laps around that cheap piece of junk.
I just picked one up a couple of days ago, it is actually quite good and snappy. Works similar to my Tivo, though seems a bit quicker. I have tried quite a few apps (Netflix, HBOMax, Disney+, Prime, BritBox) and have had zero issues with it so far. It might not be supported in the future, but it is running Android 10 now so it should last a while, and I did not see the benefit of the $50 Google one over this.
I am not running 4k though as I don't have one yet, so maybe that will make a difference - I hope it will not.
