Hi! I've got a cheap RCA Android tv, it works well but the remote is terrible and IR. Is it possible to use a third-party remote with it? Like bluetooth?

I am not sure that a Bluetooth remote can control the TV's IR functions, like power or volume.
I have a cheap Philips 4k TV in a bedroom and the included remote is horrible. I just slapped a TiVo Stream 4k on to it and used the TiVo remote. That remote CAN control the TV's power And volume.
i have CCWGTV, i would buy a backup which is MiBox remote. it is very cheap like 14 dollars (converted from my country currency)
On the shield I download the remote app for it and works great.
The formuler remote is the best - they have a bluetooth version of it.
Unfortunately only works with formuler devices.
If the TV supports Bluetooth, yes. The MIBox remote or the Onn one would work. With the Onn, you can buy the non-4K device if you want as it is cheaper and uses the same remote. Then you have a backup 1080p device and a remote. Or get the 4K one for like $20 and do the same.
