When I open my Google Home app my Mi TV Stick shows up. Is there any way to get rid of it? I don't want everyone on this network to be able to see what I watch.
I'm not talking about the notification you get when streaming using the Chromecast feature. I know how to disable that.
If your TV/STB has "Chromecast built-in", disable that app. Also might be worth disabling the Google app as well.
It's showing up as a "device you can cast to".
Other people on your WiFi network can't see what you watch (unless they're trying to cast using the Google Home app when you're watching something on YouTube in the stick)
They only way to stop it from showing up is to disable "Chromecast built-in" in the stick. But that also means you (or anyone) can never cast to the stick.
