What's a good remote with voice commands that can control my TV?

by zakpreto

I bought a Realme TV stick to replace a Fire TV stick that fried itself. Btw I think FireOS sucks, so I was more like 'good riddance'.

However what I do miss is the controller. I liked having a sine remote control both devices, but the real me controller is dumb. It has an internal volume control but it just never keeps sound at a good level, so I need my tv remote around.

The Fire TV stick remote doesn't pair elsewhere, so I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks.

Edit: forgot to say I returned the fire stick and got a refund,so I no longer own the remote. I was thinking of buying one if that's the only thing that will work, but sure o want something cheaper (remote costs $33 here, FS+remote are $40. Either way a waste of money if you ask me)

Actually the fire stick remote does pair with other devices I stopped using my mi box remote because it just got old and stopped clicking and I had the same issues where I hated my fire stick especially the OS so I paired my fire stick 4K remote to my mi box and it works flawlessly. All you have to do is hold down the home button I think on the fire stick remote and use your realme remotes to add Bluetooth devices and it should be fine.

I'm shocked at how much I love our Chromecast TV. The little remote turns the TV on and off and controls volume, which if you're cord cutting is probably all you need to do on the TV. For the $40 it cost me, I just couldn't be happier. It's a simple little device that does exactly what it's supposed to do and is pretty snappy at it.

To be clear. You might be able to pair another remote, but don't expect voice commands to work unless your new box also supports it.

Note: I haven't researched the devices and compatibility, just making an observation that the voice stuff isn't "in the remote" but the remote might send the voice stuff "to the device". If the device knows what to do with it, great.
