Floating remote disappeared from Google TV app

Did anybody lose the floating remote icon on their Google TV phone app?? I had it and it worked great now it's just gone!! Help 🤣

By "floating remote", do you mean the quick settings icon of the remote?

If yes, then go to settings> apps & enable Google TV app. Then edit the quick settings & the icon will appear

Update these apps on your Google TV:

  1. Android Remote Service (v 5.0 or higher)
  2. Gboard v (11.0 or higher)

You update through Google Play on your Google TV (not phone).

I can't believe that Google makes us manually go in and update individual items to get their crappy apps to work. Anyway this fixed it for mem
