There’s probably just a break in the power supply wire, but yeah, you can get a far better box for probably less than you paid for that
Along with what others said about the psu, do you happen to be running any powered USB accessories?
Check CEC (Bravia Sync on some Sonys) settings on the TV if you haven't, maybe something got reset in the Mi update and it's turning itself off somehow. Try disabling as much CEC as you can.
Just happened to me too and I found a solution: While it’s starting to load, hit the ‘ok’ button and the ‘back’ button on the remote at the same time. Get to the menu and hit the ‘factory rest’. After a while it started working again 🙌 I reinstalled everything and it’s working now!
Looks almoat like a busted power supply, do you have another lying around? Should be a pretty common one.
I am also having a cheap android tv box which also happens to act same and after some days the updates also are gone. What I did is that I replaced my android tv os with corelec, and os that looks like a media player. Now I use netflix, amazon prime, etc and made it a paid streaming device.you can watch hulu also if you want.
@smaguluri9 I have the exact same issue. When to do update. And now box keeps resetting itself within 10 seconds. It will show mi logo for a bit and then reset. I tried hitting "ok" + "back" button as others have suggested to get to recovery mode but it does not stay on long enough to get into this mode.
Let me know if ykubfind solution OR do we have a brick now thanks to this update.
Ditch the mi box....go for the new chromecast...faster...this mi box/mi stick very finicky with their OTA on some of their batches....
Did you update recently? Those shitboxes are know to brick from failed updates.
