I really like the shield launcher. Does one exist that is very similar and as customizable? Seeing the adds is the deal breaker.

Is that ATV launcher pro? How did you get the wallpaper to work? Mine won't do anything on CGwGTV
I'm really having a time now with my Nexus Player. I can barely run Kodi without it crashing. Even just having it on the Android home screen things will stop responding and I'll get popups to force close. It's not playing well with this new Android. It's not new, it's actually Android 8 I believe. But I don't like the layout or anything on this Android. I like Android 7's look and layout better. I regret even upgrading to Android 8. Is there anything I can do? I'd like to go back to Android 7.
I don't do custom launchers because I don't think a static background will go well with OLED

I tried different launchers on ATV and i don't like any of them (personal opinion). Compared to the great custom launchers we have for mobile device the ATV ones look cheap with few options / settings and a lot haven't been updated in ages. Again this my personal opinion.
