I bought a Philips Android TV about four months ago model number 65PFL5766/F7 and when I first got it I wanted many shows and the indicator even showed in info that it was running HDR now however everything from Netflix to Xbox Series S and PS5 says HDR is running but it clearly never changes. I've enabled EDID 2.0 with no changes on any and all HDMI ports and no matter what all apps and games when pressing the info button just says 2160p UHD. I know this use to work does anyone know what is wrong with my TV?
I have had similar issues with my Philips 55pus7272 from 2017 when paired with Chromecast with Google tv. Then I have to go to the uhd settings in the tv and turn hdr off and then on again and it will work fine for a while (probably until I put the tv on sleep)
Before doing that reset on hdr, if i open any hdr content on chromecast, it will just play the hdr content in sdr. However it also helps if i do that reset through chromecast menus by turning hdr off and on again. Then hdr content will trigger the tv to go to hdr mode.
