I have an apple tv in another room in the house and through some hacks, with homebridge I get live video notifications of motion displayed in a pop-up. Is it possible to do this on android tv? I recently got a sony tv and I've been really impressed with the built-in android tv and it's openness. Its the first time Ive actually had a good time with a tv's built in os.
I use the app "notifications for Android TV" and it works awesome. It automatically displays notifications from your phone on your TV. You can also select which app's notifications show and which ones don't. Again, it forwards them FROM YOUR PHONE and does not enable native notifications on Android TV.
If you do decide to check it out, know that the latest update of the app is no longer available via the play store and will need to be downloaded from the Dev's website. You still need to install the one from the play store prior to the update though. I also think in order to use the update you have to do an in-app purchase, but don't quote me on that.
You could also use tasker join, but I've tried that and ended up going back to the prior.
TLDR: best option will be to find a solution that will forward notifications from your phone to Android TV
