Thinking of switching from Mi Box S to Nvidia Shield Pro

I have run into a lot of problems with the Mi Box S. It works fine one day and the next you turn it on and the Wifi isn't showing up, the ethernet is no longer detected. It's annoying the fuck out of me and it isn't reliable.

I want to use it with an ethernet connection, Surfshark VPN and the following streaming services: S Sport +, DAZN, Mola TV. All I will use it for is streaming sports. Nothing else.

I am thinking of switching to the Nvidia Shield Pro. I want something reliable without the random disconnects. Is the Nvidia Shield reliable for this or might I run into the same issues?

Get the Nvidia Shield Pro. Best 4K streamer. Never any issues with WiFi or Ethernet connections. I have both the older 2017 model and the newer Pro. I have owned many other Android boxes but the one that get steady updates and new features added is the Shield. I given away all my old Android boxes and just use both my Shields. No regrets.

Pricey yes. But happy with my shield. Basically only using it for sports.

mi box was my first Android device... bought 2 Shield Pros since... still use the mi box for my parents. as well as a onn uhd box...

Have you thought about the tube version? Little bit cheaper and should easily do everything you need. I personally have both the old shield and the new pro version and have never had Ethernet drop out.
