Just got our Sony TV for weeks. It's wired connected. But yesterday the connection lost. The TV got itself a 169. IP address , instead of the normal 168. All the other connections to the router were fine. So I have to restart the TV to fix it.
Any one saw this before?
I'm assuming you already tried disconnecting and reconnecting the cable at the TV and router and tried a different cable.
Do you mean it had a 192.168.X.X and now has a 169.254? If so that is a DHCP server issue. Reboot your router and see if it assigns a local IP again. If it doesn't look at the port on the router it is connected to and make sure that you see activity. If not, try a different port.
If still nothing then it may be an issue with the port on the TV.
