so they'll just put generic google play store ad in countries where no one will pay them?
Don't know what their problem is , its not like there is actually any fundamental improvement to anything in the upgrade.

I had the update when I in the uk on my android mi box and then I got back to South Africa and same account disappears. Annoying

The update is already there, it's just geo based I think. If I enable VPN for USA i get new UI, disable VPN it goes back to old style.

Just update your network settings to use an adblocking DNS. I get no ads in my home screen, or in YouTube app.
