Need game controller recommendation

by Ok_Woodpecker_5602

Usage:

  • To play simple games via Google TV (Chromecast)
  • To play emulated games on my PC (e.g. SNES or PS3 games) e.g. FIFA 14 on PS3.

Ideally be able to play 2-4 controllers at once (parties) either on Chromecast or PC emulator

If possible: A wireless controller that has the option to be WIRED with power (e.g. USB cable) so I have the option to use it without batteries

Modern Xbox and PS controllers, although well-built with excellent ergonomics, seem too pricey/fancy/power-hungry. To use PS4 or PS5 controllers without the actual PS systems is overkill.

I'm aware of 3rd-party brands and cheap products, but I'm willing to consider them.

I'm a super casual gamer.

8bitdo makes a number of different controllers that work well. The Pro 2 is their top of the line, but pretty much anything from their line works well with Android, so it's just a matter of finding the inputs/styling/features you want.

just_freq

for computability I would just buy a new xbox controller or the google stadia controller. If you are a super casual gamer just use an old wired xbox one controller.

Ok, now I might get shot down but

Gamesir G3S

https://www.gamesir.hk/products/gamesir-g3s

It's very cheap (around £10) but has

Bluetooth, USB wireless, USb Cable Includes a phone holder too and travel bag.

It may be plasticky but it works really well and at that price you can't complain if you don't like it .
