Best $30 I've spent recently. Loaded up Kodi and smarttube and I'm smooth sailing.
Not sure if it was this updates fault, or just a coincidence, but my remote is having hecka problems staying connected now. Tried various things... But almost without fail once we turn the TV off I have to go through 10+ minutes of syncing and troubleshooting to get the remote working again.
Apparently they don't sell just the remote, not sure what to do :-(
Android TV device makers are required to update device for like 2 years or 2 Android versions. So it's not surprising
