Android TV search with google

Hi,

I have a pansonic tv with android tv, google assistant and remote control installed. When I speak to the remote control microphone the google assistant start (correct) but the search is always limited to youtube.

Is there a way to speek into remote control (google assistant key) and that a browser will open with the google search results?

Go to settings>device preferences> Google Assistant> Searchable apps. There you can see & enable/disable the apps the assistants uses to show search results from.

And no, there's no way to add a browser (or any other app of your choice) to the list of searchable apps. It's limited to certain streaming apps (and YouTube).

You can ask questions like what's the capitol of New York maybe. Regular Google Assistant stuff. Have you tried that? There is no default browser on Android TV.
