by DaRk_Ph03niX

Is there any game emulator available for Android tv for popular old video games (super mario/classic contra) etc. Preferably one with Bluetooth controller support (xbox controller)

Yes , there is actually a legit one on the store. With full functionality .RetroArch I think it's called. Relatively advanced settings wise but has almost anything you could want

And if you know how to work it to us can emulate almost anything below an Android TV CPU

There are free advanced emulators, but they will be confusing to the average user. SuperRetro16, SuperRetro8, M64Plus, might cost a dollar or three each, but its far easier to setup. Might get Gamecube games to work on nothing but the fastest media player, but most wont handle anything beyond N64 level games.

EDIT: I have the 3rd gen nVidia shield and have yet to try out Gamecube emulation, mostly because I have a modified WiiU console that does it all. WiiU on an external SSD, Wii & GC games on the MicroSD card and everything else goes onto the internal 32gb storage. It helps to have a MicroSD or USB slot to house games. N64 roms tend to be 15-20mb in size, where GC can be 1.5gb .
