Ok so i hear thats another beta update are rolling on a ADT thing from google or something. I wanna talk about releases images can i update it to my tct tv without losing system apps such as ( TV , Inputs and all of this things )
And another point i have android 9 iwait like a year for google tv updates , nothing , i wait for android 10 nothing , i wait for a lot of updattes that google and tcl say it to us but nothing anyone have the same problem ? And thanks for
That beta is for the ADT-3 developer device from Askey. That is the dev device that Google offers new beta builds on. Just like you can't easily take a Pixel build of Android 12 and slap it on a Samsung S10, you can't just take that release meant for the ADT-3 and put it on your TCL TV.
As for the slow pace of updates, it's pretty much the same thing on all Android TV devices. Even Google's own "Chromecast with Google TV" is still stuck on Android TV 10 while we're seeing Android TV 12 on the ADT-3. I know there are Google policies in place that manufacturers are supposed to update for x number of years and can skip over 1 major release, but no one seems to obey that and update their set tops or TVs in a timely fashion.
