When setting up my new tv I thought it asked me if I wanted sound on when the tv went into ambient mode, but can't find the setting for it now. I find the sound in ambient mode unbelievably loud and intrusive. I'd much prefer no sound.

I’ve got the same tv and managed to turn the sound on for ambient mode too. It’s not part of ambient mode settings themselves-the option comes thru the Living Decor app. Turn the Music level down to 0 or edit the Screen Saver settings to use the normal Ambient Mode
What sounds are you hearing as I've got several ATV TV's and devices and none have ever played any sounds in ambient mode.
