With the YTTV and Roku fall out, what are the best alternatives? I'm looking at CCWGT ($30-40 on BF), TIVO stream 4k ($15 on clearance), Fire Stick 4k Max ($35).

The ONN UHD is still $20 at Walmart. I have 3 they are my favorite non Shield Android TV device.
I just picked up the Tivo Stream 4K for $15 at my Walmart and it has been exactly what I wanted. I don't see any reason to get a more expensive device but I'm also new to these Android TV devices and I'm coming from using Chromecast Ultras and a Roku box in my house.
Any of those you mentioned would be the equivalent of a mid-range Roku. If you have a good WiFi signal and just stream via the internet (I.e. no Plex, Emby, Kodi, etc.) then just pick the one that you like the interface on better.
I bought a $15 TiVo Stream 4K last week and after removing the TiVo bloatware via some ADB commands it has the same UI as my 2015 Nvidia Shield TV. Since it was so cheap, I replaced my $18 Fire TV Stick Lite with the TiVo. Less ads and I don't need to run a separate launcher.
