Amazon Prime was working and was able to navigate and check out various trailers. However, once I selected one and tried to play it I got an infinite loading spinner. After that, was not even able to re-enter Amazon Prime and now get the infinite loading spinner.
Naïve googling is useless:
- Yes, the account is in good standing (can watch on other devices)
- Yes, the internet connection is good (other services work + Amazon Prime itself works off of the same WiFi network on a Mac)
- Yes, the latest update to Google Home is applied
I'll google more tomorrow but this was very anti-climatic when trying to enjoy my brand-new TV.
On a related note: is it normal things are this buggy? This is a brand new TV, with the latest update applied. We had a similar annoying problem with Apple TV that required adjusting things in settings + applying updates. So far 50/50 for the most popular apps working (Netflix + HBO worked). We are tech-savvy and its hard for us... I have a hard time imaging how others don't go insane with these types of issues.
If you're using some sort of adblock VPN try whitelisting the prime video app. It worked for me.
