It's here, Google Home app 2.46.1.7, although some features are missing (no dpad), it still works. No quick settings toggle, but on Samsung, home controls are usable from the devices button in the notification panel (2nd pic).

Well, at least the people who were trashing the remote function in Google TV app (or Google Play Movies & TV) might be satisfied now.

Got the update today. Now I have the remote feature in both Google TV/Play Movies & TV and Google home app!
So far, no D-pad is the only downside in Google home's remote.
