Remote recommendations for Philips 43PUS8505/12

by yonut32

Hi!

I'm looking for a remote that doesn't drain instant the batteries like the original one from philips. I'm looking for the most basic one that is compatible with this kind of series.

I would highly appreciate some recommandations, because i'm still using the original one but i got tired to change the batteries every 4-5 days even if i don't use it that much daily.

Thanks!

I gave up on fancy backlit remotes for that reason. I bought several of the Philips universal remotes, the cheapest one that's $6.99 at Target. They're great, batteries last forever and are small, not much bigger than an Apple TV remote. I still like those cheap rechargeable wireless USB mini keyboards, have several of those too.

I would say use any old android phone as dedicated TV remote .

It will last almost a fortnight easily between charges and you can do stuff with it too.

PS: I use a cracked screen Xperia M for this sole purpose.
