Hmm, not sure even this would be enough to get me to step foot inside a Walmart.
Had one for about 6 months. Better than the firestick. No complaints from me at all.
I got a free one from yttv, and I am constantly having to reboot it. Wouldn't pay anything for another.
Pass
Just get an actual device that will continue to be supported.
A person working in the electronic dept at of the local Walmart said it shows 15 in stock but the location was removed so no one know where they are.....Hmmmm
Those would make brilliant stocking stuffers!
I'm gonna say something controversial:
The stream 4k is garbage. For $10 it's fine but Walmart also discounts their Onn 4k Android tv box and it's way better. Even at the starting $20. It's just faster, has less bloatware, and in my opinion the remote is more useful even if it doesn't feel amazing.
The biggest advantage to the stream 4k is the usbc port on the side. Being able to plug in extra devices with a USB hub is really handy if you like Ethernet and a keyboard like I do. You can always add Ethernet to the Onn box with an adapter (Amazon has plenty of these for every streaming device, highly recommend) but I don't think you'll be able to find a micro USB hub that also has a power passthrough.
Edit: felt like I should add this. The wifi sucks in both, though it worked well enough to make setup easy on the Onn 4k. Setup was a pain in the ass on the stream 4k. Just keep restarting and you'll eventually get to the home screen.
Nice price. I got one for free from a YouTubeTV promo but $10 ain't bad for a usable device.
Got 5 for $15 a piece earlier today. Well worth it.
Damn, they were $23 when I bought mine a week ago! I also found the Walmart Android box for $10 at a local returns store.
Can someone tell me about which stores gives this offer Walmart near my place sells them at 35$
all my local stores actually went up in price for some stupid reason. they were 10$ i went today to grab another one and now they ring up 15$
this box is impressive for the price...but.....NO ethernet?....NO DICE!
These were $2.50 at my local Walmart yesterday
