VUDU won’t play purchased content?

I have a TCL R646 Google TV OS - which has frustrated me to no end but some of the kinks have begun to resolve themselves.

One of my main issues currently is that VUDU will not play any of my content. I hit “play trailer” and it’ll play. I play a “free with ads” video, and it’ll play that. It just won’t play any of my digital library.

Is anyone else having this issue? Have they resolved it? I’m up to date on the Google TV OS, and have deleted and reinstalled/re-logged in to VUDU and still having the exact same issue on the tv.

My account/content works fine on my laptop, and I never had this issue on my TCL Roku. This is frustrating because I have hundreds of content that I own on my VUDU but am incapable of playing it.

(This on a long list of aspect ratio issues on AppleTV, Prime, and even some YouTube videos, other apps not working for a couple of weeks like HBO Max and even free IMDb tv, CEC/eARC issues and communication between devices, and more)

There is no Google TV OS. Do you mean Android TV? Can I safely assume that you are using the Chromecast with Google TV?

I have the same issue with the same TV. I called VUDU support and spent about 20 minutes on the phone with a rep and we walked through every troubleshooting option. Nothing. We both thought it was something with the TV/OS. I'm contacting TCL tomorrow to see what they say.

sounds like a DRM issue. are both your OS and app up to date?

Try pressing the Google Assistant button and saying "install DRM info". Install and launch the app and scroll down to the bottom of its list. What DRM does it list there? Widevine, Playready, etc?

I just got this TV and Vudu still doesn't work. I decided before I even got it I was gonna get a Shield next time they were on sale, but I was hoping to have the OS hold me over. Any word on how to fix this issue?

Is anyone still having issues with Vudu? I believe I have finally found the fix. It worked for me.
